The third annual Investment Data & Technology Summit, being held at the Westin Hotel in Sydney on August 14, is expected to attract more than 100 executives from across the funds management industry.
Produced by Fund Business, the conference organisation established by Laurence Jarvis in September 2013, the IDT Summit will discuss how institutions can manage the increasing role of data and technology in investment management and its drivers such as:
- A desire for better informed investment decisions
- The need for closer risk oversight and performance measurement, and
- Increased regulatory and client reporting
The one-day summit looks at organisational considerations such as business strategy, operating model design, technology architecture, data governance, outsourcing, the skill-sets of your team, and the evolution of technology in investment management.
Jarvis says more than 100 ‘C-level’ and senior executives have attended the summit each year, representing fund managers, insurance groups and asset owners.
“It is the largest independent forum of its type for the Australian institutional investment industry, and therefore offers a variety of local and international speaking talent along with unrivalled peer discussion and networking opportunities,” he says.
A total of 18 speakers and panellists will be addressing the audience over the day. The ‘early bird’ offer expires on June 30.
