Calvert Research and Management, the specialist ESG manager, which commenced marketing in Australia and New Zealand last year following its purchase by Eaton Vance Corp, has expanded its executive team with the recruitment of Cambridge Associates’ former chief operating officer, Anne Richardson.
Richardson takes on the COO role at Calvert too. Prior to Cambridge Associates, the world’s largest asset consulting firm with a specialty in alternatives, she was associated with the not-for-profits The Brookings Institution and George Washington University.
Calvert dates back to 1976. It was the first to launch an ESG-style mutual fund – one which excluded companies that did business with the apartheid-era South Africa.
Richardson reports to John Streur, Calvert’s president and chief executive. In her role, she oversees Calvert’s day-to-day business operations, infrastructure and supporting activities. She also assists with the ongoing development and management of Calvert’s responsible investing research systems and processes, and their application to the global capital markets.
“We are excited to welcome Anne to Calvert,” Streur said. “She is an accomplished leader who will make significant contributions to Calvert’s innovative research processes, intellectual capital and our strategic plan for sustained, long-term growth of Calvert’s business.”
Calvert’s funds and strategies span US and international equities, income and asset allocation.
