AIMA Australia, the alternative investments representative organisation, has extended its scholarship program with the Chartered Alternative Investment Analysts Association. Applications for a scholarship, worth about US$3,000, close at the end of August.
The scholarship will be presented at the upcoming AIMA Australia Annual Forum in Sydney on September 12. Applications need to be sent to Michael Gallagher, AIMA Australia director and general manager, by August 30.
James Mitchell, the head of the trading desk and investor relations manager at Boronia Capital, was last year’s scholarship winner. He said: “I was very proud to be the 2017 recipient of the AIMA/CAIA scholarship… Having now completed Level I, I can highly recommend the course to anyone that sees their future in the alternative investments area. In addition to increasing my knowledge base the CAIA organisation offers many opportunities for educational and networking events throughout the year. My advice to anyone that is thinking of applying for the scholarship is – go for it! You won’t regret it.”
Anyone who is an employee of an AIMA member firm can nominate an Australia-based colleague for the scholarship. AIMA is a global organisation based in London. Submissions will be judged by the executive committee of AIMA Australia in conjunction with CAIA’s Australia Chapter executive team.
